10 years of Fat Macy’s
Fat Macy’s turns 10 this March.
Over the past decade, we’ve worked alongside people living in temporary accommodation across London, supporting them to build confidence, secure work and move into stable homes.
Together with our trainees, partners and supporters, we’ve achieved so much.
11.6k hours of training and work experience completed by trainees
£51.5k awarded in Milestone and Move-On Grants
92% of graduates since 2021 have stayed in stable accommodation for at least one year
83% of graduates are in education, training or employment
Behind each of these numbers is someone rebuilding their independence, stability and future.
One donation, double the impact
As we celebrate this milestone, we’re also looking ahead.
We want to ensure Fat Macy’s can continue supporting people living in temporary accommodation to move into work and stable housing, and to strengthen our programmes so that progress is not only achieved, but sustained.
That’s why today we’re launching our 10th Birthday Crowdfunder.
Our goal is to raise £15,000, which would fund 20 people to complete the Fat Macy’s Training Academy, giving them the skills, experience and support they need to start their journey from hostel to home.
Even better, thanks to the Aviva Community Fund, every donation up to £250 will be doubled.
